Contemplations Explores the Twilight Zone in Words and Music
Providence, RI (PRWEB) October 13, 2006 -- Has anything inexplicable ever happened to you? Truth is stranger than fiction. True stories can be far more perplexing than anything folklore or Hollywood can devise. What does science have to say about this? What does this tell us about ourselves?
Contemplations, an hour of music, poetry, meditation, reflection and inspiration as the sun sets, begins its 2006-2007 series in Sunday, October 22 at 4pm. This gathering will take place at the Meeting House of The First Unitarian Church of Providence, at the corner of Benefit and Benevolent Streets. This month’s theme is The Twilight Zone, an exploration of traditional and contemporary tales of strangeness, as well as a look at the science that Einstein termed “spooky action at a distance.”
The reader for this program is Barbara Slater, and music is provided by Jazz Therapy.
The First Unitarian Church of Providence is a congregation that dates back to the 1700s. First Unitarian is a metropolitan church with more than 600 members and friends from three states and nearly 300 children enrolled in the religious education program.
This event is free and all are most welcome.
For information, please call the church office at 401.421.7970.
