Charlottesville, VA (PRWEB) March 19, 2008 -- Spicy Bear Media (http://www.spicybear.com) announces the launch of cvilleMUSE.com (http://www.cvillemuse.com). This website features the Charlottesville and Central Virginia music, arts and entertainment scene. Consistent with the Spicy Bear brand, cvilleMUSE.com is a community-centric publication where users can participate equally in the creation of content.
cvilleMUSE.com will be the sister site to the successful cVillain.com (http://www.cvillain.com). Since its launch ten months ago, cVillain.com now reaches over 17,000 unique visitors each month and has become Charlottesville's leading online destination for interaction and discussion of locally relevant topics.
Coinciding with the launch of cvilleMUSE.com, Shaun Harvey joins Spicy Bear Media as the online music editor and contributing writer. As the music editor of cvilleMUSE.com, Shaun hopes to become an important and guiding voice within the vibrant Charlottesville music scene.
Prior to joining Spicy Bear Media, Shaun spent six years, from 2000 to 2006, as the Music Director and weekday morning host at Allegheny Mountain Radio, a network of three non-commercial radio stations based in western Virginia and eastern West Virginia. He logged over 6,000 hours of on-air time and helped establish the small-market station as a prominent player in the ever-growing Americana music scene.
In the spring of 2006, Shaun became a contributing writer for the online music website AmericanaRoots.com (http://www.AmericanaRoots.com) where he has written record reviews for such artists as Guy Clark, King Wilkie, The Avett Brothers, The Old Crow Medicine Show, and many others.
He currently lives in a little log cabin on the outskirts of Charlottesville with his fiancé Amanda. An aspiring poet with a fondness for the writings of Charles Bukowski and Jack Kerouac, Shaun also enjoys the pop and crackle of well-worn vinyl records as well as the music of Tom Waits, Wilco, Townes Van Zandt, the Pixies, and countless hundreds, if not thousands more.
