Adstream And Musicrypt To Launch Digital Music Delivery System At Midem 2007
London, England (Billboard Publicity Wire) January 19, 2007 -- Adstream Ltd., the leading provider of digital asset management and distribution services for the global advertising market, has strengthened its offering to include digital music distribution following a landmark deal with Musicrypt Inc.
As a result of its partnership with Musicrypt, the leader in secure digital media distribution, Adstream•DMDS (Digital Media Distribution System) will initially be launched in the UK and Ireland this month, with Europe and Australia to follow. The new application will be officially unveiled next week at Midem, the major international music conference in Cannes France at an exclusive press conference.
Adstream•DMDS is an easy-to-use, digital file transfer system that allows record labels to quickly, securely and inexpensively deliver broadcast quality music tracks and related promotional materials direct to radio stations, press, agents, promoters and media outlets via the internet.
"Midem is the perfect venue to launch our new global service with Adstream," said Cliff Hunt, Chairman, Musicrypt Inc. "The Adstream-DMDS solution will provide UK and European labels with all of the benefits that DMDS technology has been providing for North American based labels and broadcasters. We look forward to meeting the many label delegates and demonstrating the numerous advantages of Adstream-DMDS to them in person."
The award-winning, web-based delivery system pioneers secure digital file distribution by incorporating biometrics, high-value encryption and watermarking. Using a biometric technology called BioPassword, Adstream•DMDS improves access security and prevents password-sharing by using patented keystroke dynamics technology to create an individual biometric profile for each user based upon their highly individual typing rhythms. Other key benefits include:
•
The ability to attach pictures, bios, promos, video and website links with music files
•
The ability to embargo files for a particular time and date
•
Online realtime tracking and reporting tools - view who has received, viewed, streamed and/or downloaded files
•
Portable and secure access from any computer worldwide
"Moving into the digital delivery of music content is a significant and exciting move for Adstream. The use of this unique biometric technology will be revolutionising the music industry and to be providing this software is a big coup for Adstream," said Andy Hopkinson, Managing Director for Adstream. "Musicrypt is a world leader in the field of music delivery and we are delighted to have partnered with such a dynamic and experienced company to launch into this market."
Already well-established in North America, the patented DMDS system is currently used by 100% of Canadian chart monitored radio stations and has delivered over 6,000 songs from more than 150 record labels, including all four major record labels, to destinations including radio stations representing over 35 US broadcast chains such as CBS/Infinity, Citadel, Clear Channel, Cox, Cumulus, Emmis, EntreVision, Entercom, Federated Media, Sirius, Journal, DMX, Jones Radio, AOL, Music Choice, Radio One, Salem Communications, Univision, Westwood One, Regent, Premiere Radio, Next Media, XM Satellite Radio, Waitt Media and many others.
